We are the Chou Family. Several years ago we decided to make our home in the Rockies of Colorado…and we love it! Eric enjoys spending time with his family, eating, fishing, hiking, and 550 paracord. Abby’s passions are homemaking and natural living, and her time is best spent with family and friends, cooking, drinking coffee, reading, writing, and being outdoors.
Six-year-old Calla loves to paint, practice kung fu, host tea parties, eat tomatoes, read books, and work on her blowgun skills with her Baba. Four-year-old Hudson likes to eat, sleep, eat, shoot his watergun, eat, and chase his siblings…laughing all the while. Sweet, goofy, two-year-old Boulder loves living life to the fullest in every way possible. We recently welcomed our newest addition, Shepherd, and he’s quickly found his niche in our family.
We live simply…finding joy in each other, and most importantly, in the exceeding abundance of our Heavenly Father.
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.” {Ephesians 3:20-21}
This is The Chou Life. Enjoy!

Eric,
Well if you are a con artist you are one of the best
.
You have what looks to be a great family (not so different from my own. I’ll E-mail you a couple family pics of my own. I have two daughters 6 year old Piper and 9 year old Jodi. My wife Connie is awsome as well. We live in The Dalles Oregon and I just recently got a quad and put a plow on it. Like you I enjoy plowing with that quad.
Wow what a beautiful daughter you have. You are in big trouble. Let me know how you fair when she hits 14. I’m kinda scared for when my girls hit that age.
See ya

Was surfing random blogs and ran across yours. Quite enjoyed the pictures and stories!
Remember me?
Saw a link to your blog somewhere on facebook. It’s great! Your kids are beautiful.
What kind of camera do you use? Looks like some sort of SLR.
Ryan
Of course I remember you, Ryan! I’ve checked out your blog a few times…very nice pics. Your kids are super cute!
We do have a DSLR, it’s a Canon Rebel XTi. We debated forever on whether to go the Canon or Nikon route, and finally decided on Canon. I’m happy enough with our choice. My hubby’s more proficient with the camera than I am though. I’m thinking you use a Nikon, right?
Hi, Abby! You all are fascinating. I have enjoyed visiting your blog, and I’m glad to have had lunch with you and yours a couple of times after church. Hope to see you more in the future!
Hi! You’re my winner for the $25 GC towards a meeUp Baby Carrier in a print of your choice! I couldn’t find an email contact for you on your blog. I’ll post your win on my site, please respond within 48 hrs. to claim your prize.
Hell-o there Abby! Long time, no talk. Your family is beautiful! Isn’t that crazy to find people you know in the comments of blogs of people you don’t? Looks like you’re doing great; can’t wait to snoop around your blog some more.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog. (I can’t remember if I started your sister in law’s or yours first–took link from one to the other). Your kids are just too cute. I will be trying out your ice coffee recipe tomorrow. Love the recipe postings–since it’s so easy to get stuck in a cooking rut for me.
Blessings to you and yours from SE NM!
Thanks for the follow on Twitter…
I wandered in this way wondering if you were somehow related to Gracelaced Ruth Chou Simons (she’s a kindred spirit)…what a beautiful family you have and I especially love all the names of your children. If God ever has another little guy join our family…I’m rooting for “Hudson”.
Yes, Ruth is my amazing sis-in-law!
My hubby and I used to live in Abq and I so miss being near her. I’ve visited your blog a few times — your family is beautiful and inspiring and your writing is always a blessing…thank you. (I hope you get your Hudson someday!)
And thank you for the twitter follow, too!
