We typically don’t do much to celebrate Valentine’s Day (or any other holiday, for that matter) at our house…although that seems to be changing as our kiddos get older. Calla LOVES her a holiday, and she’s been counting down to Valentine’s Day for several weeks. She’s also been working on handmade valentines for everyone in the family and could.not.wait to hand them out this morning.
So I thought I’d try to be a fun Mama and get into the spirit of V-Day with a themed breakfast.
The kids were beyond excited. I sometimes forget how easily I can make their day. But it’s good to be reminded.
We enjoyed these Cranberry Crumb Top Muffins, pink scrambled eggs with white cheddar, fruit salad, and cherry yogurt. (By the way, the muffins were a huge hit with the kids — they managed to eat SEVEN between the three of them.)
(Their Baba had to go to work at 5 AM this morning…
{We missed you, babe!} …But I’m sure his ideal breakfast would’ve been more along the lines of something not so pink.)
Happy Valentine’s Day from our home to yours! Hope you have a yummy day!

I made Dad and the boys heart shaped pancakes. And gave them each a Valentine’s treat. It’s fun to make the family happy!
And they’re so easily pleased! It’s nice that they don’t require “fancy,” just “special.”
Wait, your muffins are prettier. I love the pink and red theme. Looks like you started the day right.
Ha, I don’t know about prettier. The crumb topping sunk into the center of the muffins…that always happens to me — I’m guessing it’s a high-altitude thing? They sure did taste good though!
